From the rest of the applications, there are two acts no strangers to Eurovision. The first is Nelly Ciobanu whom participated in the Moscow contest with “Hora din Moldova”. This year she has chosen to go for a ballad. The other act is Eurovision 2010 act Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira “with Epic Sax guy” (an internet meme from their last Eurovision participation) with the English and Romanian song “Superman”. Speaking to commercial channel PRO TV, the group said that the song was written in the last minute, and recorded just a few hours before they had to submit it to the broadcaster.

Popular Moldovan group “Akord” (who withdrew their entry “Lady Gaga” from the Moldovan selection in 2010) have also submitted a song, as well as Ecaterina Cojocaru who took part in the countries’ Junior Eurovision preselection in 2010.
