Armenia will select their Eurovision Song Contest 2011 entry on the 19th Febraury, the country’s OGAE club has today reported. The deadline for submitting entries has now passed, and a total of 70 were received. Emmy was announced as this year’s representative before the turn of 2011. After an audition today, fifteen have been selected to pass to the next round.
Next week, the Public Television of Armenia’s will convene with Emmy to narrow the selection down to jst four songs, each of which she will performed in the televised final.
The winning song will be chosen by a 50% split of jury and public voting. The composers of the four shortlisted entries will be announced net week.
