Düsseldorf 2011: NDR reveals further detail on ESC tickets

NDR has released a preliminary schedule for a number of events and activities in the leadup to this year’s big event.

17th January – Oslo Mayor Fabian Stang hands over the key to the Eurovision Song Contest in the Düsseldorf town hall to Mayor Dirk Elbers.

4th April – NDR will open their production centre at the Arena, to be the workplace of several hundred technicians for the month long leadup.

30th April / 1st May – First journalists and delegations expected to arrive.

2nd May – 14th May – The EuroClub will be open, catering for up to 800 guests nightly. The location is not yet known.

6th May / 7th May – Big 4 delegations expected to arrive in Düsseldorf

9th May – Rehearsal for the first Semi Final to take place in the arena. It is not yet known whether tickets will be available for this event.

9th – 13th May – ARD will broadcast a series of live shows from Düsseldorf called Germany 12 Points. The presenter of the show is not yet known.

10th May – The first Semi Final will take place. Ticket sales will commence when the participants of this semi final are known.

11th May – Rehearsal for the second Semi Final to take place in the arena. It is not yet known whether tickets will be available for this event.

12th May – The second Semi Final will take place. Ticket sales will commence when the participants of this semi final are known.

13th May – The Jury Final will take place. Tickets are currently on sale for this event.

14th May – The Final of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place.
