The Netherlands have revealed their Eurovision song today. It was already known that the young and talented country singer Douwe Bob would represent the country, but since today, he also has a song: “Slow Down”, which can be viewed at the bottom of this article.
Douwe Bob rose to fame in 2012 when he was voted The Best Singer-Songwriter in the Netherlands. Afterwards he has sung a duet with Anouk, who successfully represented The Netherlands in 2013 in Malmö. Anouk has given Douwe Bob already quite some advice about how to approach the Eurovision Song Contest.
“Slow Down” is a laidback country song in seventies style, which tells a however very modern story of a guy who is living way too fast. “There is constant pressure to prove yourself,” says Bob, “When walking through the forests of Sweden, or riding a horse through the fields in Spain, a peace descends on you and you see everything in a better perspective.”
