A professional jury will have their say in the upcoming Dutch national final, which will contain a total of five people. The names of the jury members were released yesterday.

This year the votes of the professional jury will count as 50% of the results, the other 50% of the result will come from televotes. An international jury will give advice before the televoting starts, which will not be recorded in the result.

DJ Afrojack is probably the most well-known jury member. He won a Grammy Award working together with David Guetta on a remix of Madonna’s song Revolver. Other jury members are rapper Ali B, who is currently hosting a television show about mixing completely different music styles, X-factor manager Stacey Rookhuizen, and radio DJ Jeroen van Nieuwenhuize. Television host Carlo Boszhard is the fifth and maybe an unlikely member, but he admits to have been a Eurovision fan almost all his life.

The Netherlands will choose their song on the 26th of February. Additionally, next Sunday the draw for the national final will be held during Carlo Boszhard’s tv-show Life4you. Six songs will be drawn into three battles, of which the winners will battle each other in a so called ‘Superfinale’, where the winner and Dutch representative will be selected.
