Netherlands: S10 Releases ‘De Diepte’

The Dutch Eurovision entry is now out, with S10 to sing ‘De Diepte’ at the contest this year. It marks the first time since 2010 that the Eurovision entry from The Netherlands is performed in Dutch.

Speaking about her Eurovision entry, S10 said,

‘It’s a tribute to the sadness and memories that you carry with you. Everyone experiences difficult times in their lives. That’s something we all have in common and I hope you will feel less alone when you listen to the song.’

S10 (pronounced: ‘ès-ten’) is the stage name of Stien den Hollander. The 21-year-old artist shares her personal stories through song, rap and spoken word. As they are personal, she chooses to sing in Dutch. The talented artist will also perform in Dutch in Torino next year. This marks the first time since 2010 that The Netherlands will compete with a song in Dutch.

S10 signed her first record deal with label Noahs Ark at the age of 17, enabling her to record debut album Snowsniper (2019). The album won the Netherlands’ most prestigious music award: an ‘Edison’.Her second album Vlinders was released a year later, in 2020, and was followed by a sold-out tour and chart-topping singles.
