Norway: 800 entries for Melodi Grand Prix 2012

Per Sundnes is a Norwegian journalist, talk show host and has been the host of the Norway’s selection for Eurovision, Melodi Grand Prix, for the past four years. In an interview with VG Nett he made statements about this years MGP and the progress so far.

The call for submitting entries has now ended in Norway and the Norwegian National broadcaster, NRK, has received 800 entries – nearly a hundred more than last year according to Sundnes. Sundnes also added that writers from many countries including Israel, Australia, Romania, Sweden, Serbia, Ireland and Finland have submitted entries for Norway.

NRK is now processing the submitted entries and will soon select which entries will be taking part in Melodi Grand Prix 2012!

Stella Mwangi represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song Haba haba. Stella finished 17th in the First Semifinal.
