NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, has announced the next act that will take part in Melodi Grand Prix 2012.
NRK announced today that popular Norwegian songwriter Thom Hell has composed an entry for close friend Isabel Ødegård to sing in the upcoming MGP. “It’s a love song”, explains Thom Hell to Norwegian broadcaster NRK. “We started to think that we should make a Eurovision song, but gradually we changed our mindset, and ended up making a song that Isabel is comfortable with singing”, he further explains.
Isabel Ødegård is the third confirmed act for the upcoming MGP after the announcements of Malin and Irresistible.
Earlier this year Stella Mwangi represented Norway in Eurovision 2011 with ‘Haba Haba’ but was unable to qualify to the Eurovision Song Contest final.
