NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, has announced the next act that will take part in Melodi Grand Prix 2012.
Sixteen year old Malin Reitan was suprised today when she was met by Per Sundnes who announced she’d be the next entrant to MGP 2012. Malin is no stranger to ‘Eurovision’. In 2005 Malin represented Norway at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Sommer og skolefri” where she came third in the final. Since her participation in Junior Eurovision, Malin has released six studio albums, won a Norwegian Grammy and has several other accolades.
After the surprise, Malin commented; “I want to go from being a child artist to something more adult, and MGP is an incredible arena to do it. I’m ready for the challenge”.
