NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, has announced the next act that will take part in Melodi Grand Prix 2012.
Plumbo, the Norwegian band behind the hit ‘Møkkamann’, will be the next act to take part in MGP 2012. The band will sing ‘Ola Nordmann’, a song about a Swede who is fond of feasting, fishing and nature. The aim of the group is to captivate viewers of all ages. So far the band has released 3 albums plus the hit single ‘Møkkamann’ from the album ‘Råkk’n Råll Harry’.
Plumbo are the fifth confirmed act for the upcoming MGP after the announcements of Nora Foss Al-Jabri, Isabel Ødegård, Malin and Irresistible.
Earlier this year Stella Mwangi represented Norway in Eurovision 2011 with ‘Haba Haba’ but was unable to qualify to the Eurovision Song Contest final.
