Norway: Subwoolfer Wins Melodi Grand Prix

Melodi Grand Prix is complete, with Norway electing their next Eurovision entrant. Subwoolfer will perform ‘Give That Wolf a Banana’ in Turin.

This year’s selection featured four semi-finals and a second chance round, where 21 acts were reduced down to just 10. The results consisted of solely public voting.

Here are the finalists:

  • Oda Gondrosen – Hammer Of Thor
  • NorthKid – Someone
  • Anna-Lisa Kumoji – Queen Bees
  • Farida – Dangerous
  • Sofie Fjellvang – Made Of Glass
  • Frode – Black Flowers
  • Christian Ingebrigtsen – Wonder Of The World
  • Maria Mohn – Fly
  • Subwoolfer – Give That Wolf A Banana
  • Elsie Bay – Death Of Us

After all the performances, four acts progressed to the Gold Final. Those artists were:

  • NorthKid – Someone
  • Sofie Fjellvang – Made Of Glass
  • Subwoolfer – Give That Wolf A Banana
  • Elsie Bay – Death Of Us

The top two acts who received the highest amount of votes then progressed to the Gold Duel. The top two acts were Subwoolfer and NorthKid.

Ultimately, Subwoolfer triumphed, and will represent Norway at Eurovision this year with the song ‘Give That Wolf a Banana’.
