OG3NE: “We learned a lot from Junior Eurovision”

The girls Lisa, Amy and Shelley are grown up and after representing The Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007, they will now go to the adult version of the contest. They tell ESC Daily that they have learned from the past: “Now we are professional and taking it seriously.”

We spoke to OG3NE during Eurovision in Concert in their own country, where they invited 32 other participating nations. “Is is a sneak peek on how everyone is going to be in Kiev. We are still busy with everything, but we are on the good track. It is going to be really amazing, but we need to keep it a secret.”

A New stage director for Holland

In recent years The Netherlands used the work of stage director Hans Pannecoucke, which gave Holland quite some success. Now, the act for ‘Lights and Shadows’ is developed by Rolf Meter. “He is amazing,” the girls tell us. “It is great to work with him. He already did our video clip. We are on the same page, he understands us and that is great. He has a personal affection with our song.”

Learning from the past at the Junior Eurovision, OG3NE knows the do’s and dont’s of taking part in a contest like this. “We need a great team at Eurovision. We learned a lot from Junior Eurovision. It was the opposite of what we are doing now. Now we are professional and taking it seriously. We want to make our country proud.”
