“Switzerland has best chance of qualification in years”

Will Switzerland reach the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with Zibbz? According to Brandon McCann, who blogged the Swiss final on Saturday, they have the best chance of qualifying in years. Check it out in this podcast episode of Scout Around.

Switzerland did not manage to impress at the Eurovision Song Contest in the last couple of years. But according to Brandon McCann, they might have a shot in Lisbon: “I think they have the best chance of qualifying in the recent three years.”

Switzerland: bad statistics at the Eurovision Song Contest

In the last three years, Switzerland did not make it to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In fact, since Vanilla Ninja gave the Swiss a top-10 result in 2005, Switzerland only performed in the final on three occasions, once being a direct qualifier (Six4One) and once finishing in last place (Anna Rossinelli).

The most recent final appearance of Switzerland was in Copenhagen 2014, when Sebalter finished in 13th place with ‘Hunter of Stars‘. Do you also think that the song ‘Stones’ by Zibbz can also be a qualifier?
