Poland wins Junior Eurovision 2019 on home soil

After winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018, the nation has also won the 2019 edition of the contest on home soil. Viki Gabor took the victory in Gliwice-Silesia with her song ‘Superhero’.

Just like last year, the online voting was a major factor in the Polish victory. It marks the first time in Junior Eurovision history that a nation has won the contest two years in a row. Watch the winning performance below:

The final score for Poland was 278, while Kazakhstan finished in 2nd place with a total of 227. Finishing in third was Spain on 212. Rounding out the Top 5 was The Netherlands, and then France. As you can see below, Australia finished in 8th place with 121 points.

Viki Gabor is 12 years old. She was born in Germany, began her education in Great Britain, and is currently living in Poland. In February 2019, she was a finalist of the second edition of The Voice Kids in Poland.
