Polina from Russia wins JESC 2017, Australia comes in top three

Polina from Russia wins the 15th edition of Junior Eurovision Song Contest getting 188 points with her song called Wings. Whereas Australia comes the third with 172 points. Georgia wins with jurors and the Netherlands wins with TV viewers.

Tonight, Russia has been the second with jurors having Georgia on the top, however, later on Polina takes over with televoting getting the sixth highest points. Grigol from Georgia takes the second place and the top three is fulfilled by Isabella Clarke from Australia. Isabella comes third both with TV viewers and  the jurors.

Top favorite Malta finished second in the public vote but was punished heavily by the professional jurors. In the end, Malta finished 9th. Boyband Fource from The Netherlands won the online vote and came 4th in the final ranking.

Online voting

This year the contest has faced a big change- after a year of 100% jury choice, televoting came back to Junior Eurovision but already in the new format of online voting. This format allowed people to vote even for their own countries which has never been possible before. Earlier this week ESCDaily has covered details on the new format of the voting system.
