Raylee qualifies for the final in Norway

Raylee has qualified for the final of Melodi Grand Prix in Norway. She took the ticket for the final with the song ‘Hero’.

Raylee took part in the Norwegian preselection in 2020 as well, when she also reached the final with the song ‘Wild’. In this second MGP heat she first took care of Maria Solheim in her first battle. Then she faced Daniel Owen with the song ‘Psycho’, who first defeated Former ESC-participant Ketil Stokkan (“My Life is OK”). Ketil Stokkan represent Norway at the Eurovision two times before. In 1986 and 1990 with the song ‘Romeo’ and ‘Brandenburger Tor’, the last one ended up in last place.

Six candidates already received an automatic ticket for the final on the 20th of February. The group KEiiNO is one of them, with the song ‘Monument’. The televote winners of 2019, who finished in 6th place at Eurovision with ‘Spirit in the sky’ gave the first live performance of their next Eurovision song during the first semi final last week. That show was won by the group Blåsemafian, who also qualified for the final a week ago.

The three acts that failed to qualify to the final will go through a second chance round which will take place on the 14th of February, with the Grand Final to take place on the 20th of February. The next act to advance to the final is Raylee. Check out her 2021 Eurovision song below:
