It is official: Romania will take part in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Rumours had it that the TVR might withdraw from the contest due to financial issues, but today they confirmed their participation nevertheless.
The news was first made official by the Danish broadcaster DR who is responsible for the organization of the contest this season. TVR itself followed soon after, with a confirmation through their Facebookpage. Today is the last day for countries to confirm their participation – only Greece received a deadline extension from the EBU.
