Montenegro: RTCG provisionally applies for 2011

Another country sent its application for Eurovision 2011 to be held in Dusseldorf, and it is Montenegro!

As the former head of delegation of Montenegro said, the application has been sent on time, but the final decision on taking part in Eurovision still hasn’t been done. The final decision will be made not later than December 21st.

On a RTCG conference in November, the director of the Montenegrin television said that there is not enough money for Eurovision, but there is a possibility that they will find an artist who will be able to find sponsors to provide enough money for the participation. That artist will have to fit the criteria of the national broadcaster, who will choose if he/she satisfies them or not. The final decision on this will be made on the next conference in mid December. The entrant won’t be able to count on much financial support from the national television, just like all the previous Montenegrin representatives.

With possible participations of Montenegro and Hungary, we might get 42 countries to take part in Dusseldorf.
