Israel premiered at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 and won four times: in 1978 with Izhar Cohen & the Alphabeta and the song “A-Ba-Ni-Bi” in 1979 with Gali Atari & Milk and Honey and the song “Hallellujah”, and in 1998 with Dana International and the song “Diva”, and in 2018, with Netta Barzilai and the song “Toy.” Because of that victory, the contest will be held in Tel Aviv next year.
