Slovenia: Nuša Derenda, Regina in EMA final on February 27th

February 27th is set to be the busiest day of the Eurovision preselection season. After Finland, Norway, Hungary, Moldova and Lithuania, today it was announced that Slovenia too will select its Eurovision entry on Super Saturday.

Broadcaster RTV Slovenija released the ten artists that will compete for a ticket to Stockholm in a press conference today. Nuša Derenda, who represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, and Regina (Eurovision 1996) are among the ten contestants of EMA, which are:

  1. Anja Baš
  2. Anja Kotar
  3. D Base
  4. Manuella
  5. Nuša Derenda
  6. Raiven
  7. Regina
  8. San Di Ego
  9. Sebastian Lukovnjak
  10. Žan Serčič

These ten artists were chosen by a jury consisting of: Alenka Godec (singer), Gaber Radojević (music producer), Jernej Vene (editor) and Aleksander Radić (Head of Delegation).

Previous Slovene representative Nuša Derenda (in 2001 with “Energy”) remains as Slovenia’s most recent best placing in Eurovision of 7th place with 70 points.
