The group SunStroke Project will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, making their comeback after taking part in 2010 as well. Their song ‘Hey Mamma’ was the winning entry in O Melodie Pentru Europa this Saturday.
After the semi final on Friday, eight acts remained for the conclusion of the contest on Saturday. At the end of the night, SunStroke Project was crowned as the winner.
A tie in the national final
They won the televote and came second in the jury voting, which meant a tie with Ethno Republic & Surorile Osoianu, who got these results the other way around. Because SunStroke Project won the televote, they got the ticket for Kiev. Check out our liveblog for the show HERE.
In 2010 they took part together with singer Olia Tira, but this time the three guys will do it alone. Back then in Oslo, they reached the final of Eurovision, where they ended up in the bottom of the table.
