Sweden: SVT reveals full line-up

Swedish broadcaster SVT has today announced the full semifinal line-up for the 2011 Melodifestivalen, as Sweden aims to bounce back from last year’s shock elimination in the semifinal. Having been knocked out by a song that the broadcaster had rejected for a previous edition of their own national final, SVT will be hoping for a good result this time around. Taking part will be:

Semi Final 1 – Luleå, 5th February

On March 5th the second chance competition will take place, with the final coming like from Globen in Stockholm on March 12. Sweden has not had a top-10 finish since Carola in 2006, with Martin Steinmark and Malena Ermann both seeing disappointing results in the final- as did Charlotte Perelli, who only got that far by frace of the jury.
