Swiss broadcaster SRF announced the record amount of 670 entries, that have been submitted to their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
A 20-member independent jury will listen to the submitted and compliant songs, and afterwards will select six songs for the national decision show in several discussion and decision-making sessions from all applications. The songs are not yet publicly available.

The jury consists of music and media, fans and television viewers. SRF will communicate the members of the jury at a later date. They will pick six acts for a national final, Sunday the 4th of February.
In the end, 50 percent of the TV audience decide via televoting and also 50 percent an international expert jury. The winner is to represent Switzerland 2018 at the Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal. However, we will have to wait for quite some time before we can listen the candidates for Switzerland.
