Switzerland sends ‘She Got Me’ by Luca Hänni

Switzerland will be represented by Luca Hänni. The title of the Swiss song at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 is ‘She Got Me’.

On 19th July 2018, Switzerland announced that they would drop their national final Die Entscheidungsshow. Instead they would select their entry by having 120 jury members select the song that will represent them on stage at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. That internal selection committee chose Luca Hänni.

About Luca Hänni

Luca Hänni is 24 years old. He had a breakthrough in Germany, when he won ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ in 2012. After that victory, he released several singles, out of which “Don’t Think About Me” was the most successful.

Prior to the 2019 Contest, Switzerland had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest fifty-nine times since their first entry in 1956. Switzerland won the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Refrain” performed by Lys Assia. Their second and, to this point, most recent victory happened in 1988 when Canadian singer Céline Dion won the contest with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi”.
