A few moments ago, SVT has announced the first wildcards for the 2011 Melodifestivalen. They are:
1. Pernilla Andersson – “Desperados”
2. Linda Bengtzing – “E de fel på mig”
3. Lasse Stefanz – “En blick och något händer”
4. Swingfly – “Me and my drum”
Lasse Stefanz have been on the Swedish music scene since 1967, and this will be their first appearance on Melodifestivalen. Pernilla Andersson, and Swingly haven’t been on Melodifestivalen either, and for Linda Bengtzing, this will be the 5th try to win the festival and represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Pernilla Andersson has composed the song, and wrote the lyrics herself. Thomas G:Son, a famous composer who had a few entries in Eurovision, is involved with Linda Bengtzing’s song together with Pontus Assarsson and Jörgen Ringqvist, while Aleksander Bard (used to be a member of the band BWO, as well as a composer) composed the song for Lasse Stefanz, together with Ola Håkansson and Tim Norell. The song “Me and my drum” which will be performed by Swingfly has been composed by Teron Beal, Patrik Magnusson, and Johan Ramström.
