Turkey not likely to return in 2014

The chances of Turkey returning to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 are slim. TRT-manager Ibrahim Sahin told the Turkish newspaper Radikal that he is only willing to make a comeback if the EBU changes the voting system.

Turkey was absent in 2013, due to the same reason. The 50/50 score of jury-votes and televoting is unfair, the Turkish say. The EBU is not willing to change the current system, so the logical conclusion is that Turkey will not be taking part in Copenhagen.

Sahin also criticized the current Big-5 ruling, that states that a couple of countries are guaranteed a place in the final, no matter how they performed in the year before.

What do you think, does TRT have a point, or not?
