Belgium: Two songs already reach €20,000

Two songs have already reached the required total of €20,000 “investment” from the public, and are through to the next round of the national selection in Belgium. In a different approach to picking their Eurovision entry, Walloon broadcaster RTBF is asking any interested parties to put their songs online through a co-operation with label akamusic. They are then asking members of the public to buy “shares” in the songs, until an entry has raised €20,000, at which point is passes to the next round.

Two songs have already hit the €20,000 mark: Léa Clément with the song “Où s’en vont nos rêves?”, and Syla. K with “Simple Love”. Steve Linden, and his song “C’est la musique”, is the next likely to reach the threshold, having raised over €15,000 so far.
