Uku Suviste has once again won the grand final of Eesti Laul. The two years in a row and will represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam. The Estonian entry is called The Lucky One.
In line with Victor Crone in 2019, Estonia will rely heavily on visual effects in its performance. During the first verse of the upbeat pop song, it appears as though Uku falls in a water tank. However, we soon see him back on stage, dry, continuing to sing his song.
Uku Suviste – The Lucky One (Estonia Eurovision 2021)
The final of Eesti Laul 2021 featured a feast of familiar Estonian faces. Four artists won the contest before: Ivo Linna (1996), Koit Toome (1998 and 2017), Jüri Pootsman (2016) and Uku Suviste (2020) and all took a shot at representing their nation again.
Jüri Pootsman came third in the gold final, however Uku Suviste took the 100% televote win. Despite coming third-last by the internal jurors during the initial round of votes.
