Uku Suviste has won the grand final of Eesti Laul 2020 and will now take part on behalf of Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The Estonian song in Rotterdam is called ‘What Love Is’.
After two semi finals, with six qualified acts from each show, the Estonian preselection came to a conclusion on Saturday. Check out the winning act below:
In the line-up in Estonia we saw some familiar names like Stig Rästa (part of the band Traffic) and Laura, who both took part at Eurovision before. The final took place at the Saku Suurhal in Tallinn. The twelve songs competed over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury (50%) and public televote (50%) determined the top three entries to proceed to the super final.
Jaagup Tuisk, Anett x Fredi and Uku Suviste reached that super final. SHIRA was in the top-3 of the jury, but lost her place after the televotes came in to Uku. In the superfinal Uku Suviste was crowned as the winner entirely by the televote. Jaagup came in second place, Annett x Fredi got the bronze medal.
