The United Kingdom entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will be premiered on Saturday the 7th of March. The BBC have confirmed that the song will be showcased via their Red Button service, and then available on the BBC Eurovision Website.
Last year the BBC selected their entry via their BBC Introducing scheme, which brings together unsigned and undiscovered music talent. This resulted in Molly Smitten-Downes being chosen, with the song Children Of the Universe which achieved a 17th place in the Grand Final.
For 2015 the BBC announced back in October that they were looking at additional options, including an open submission for entries. Potential artists and composers had until the 7th November to submit videos. Producer Guy Freeman has said that “Ultimately, one song stood out as having both instant impact and real memory staying power”.
