Valentina wins the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 for France

France has won the 2020 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The winning song was performed by Valentina and is called J’imagine.

Karakat from Kazakhstan came in second place with 152 votes followed by Soleá from Spain who finished in third place with 133 points. The full results can be seen below:

A new record was reached with over 4.5 million votes cast in this year’s competition. France won this online vote in a convincing manner, after also winning the jury vote. Check out the winning performance below:

France was already one of the favourites to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 beforehand, as you could read in our big preview article. The edition of 2020 was also a “test-case” for scenario D of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, because a lot of nations aired pre-recorded performances from a studio in their home country.
