Vasil Garvanliev has released his song ‘You’, which he will perform on behalf of North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. He takes part in the first half of the first semi final.
Vasil hopes to do even better than Tamara Todevska did last year. She won the jury vote for North Macedonia, but failed to impress the televote. In the end, North Macedonia finished in a record 7th place with 305 points.

Garvanliev was part of the Macedonian delegation in Tel Aviv 2019, as off-stage backing singer for Tamara Todevska during her succesful performance of the song ‘Proud’. One year later, he will be in the lead for North Macedonia.
Vasil was born and raised in Macedonia, but his family fled to the other side of the ocean because of the Balkan wars in the 90’s. He made name for himself as an opera singer in Canada.
