The grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2020 has been won by Daði & Gagnamagnið. The winning song ‘Think about things’ will be the entry for Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
Five acts took the stage in Iceland on Saturday after two semi finals in the last couple of weeks. It was a diverse final, with different types of songs. The top two entries advanced to the superfinal, which were Daði & Gagnamagnið with the song ‘Think about things’ and the metal rock group DIMMA with the song ‘Almyrkvi’.
In that superfinal Daði & Gagnamagnið was chosen as the actual winner of the Icelandic preselection for Rotterdam. It is no big surprise, since their song already went viral after it got shared on Twitter by a lot of people, including actor Russell Crowe.
