Web TV: How can poorer countries book good results

A record amount of 43 countries would have taken part in Eurovision 2016, but Romania was disqualified from the contest. Broadcaster TVR has some high debts with the EBU, and they were therefore excluded at the last minute. Their financial problems are not unique.

Many other broadcasters are struggling with budget issues as well. How do the small nations come up with a strategy to be able to stay in the contest? And as we try to get things as clear as possible. How much does it cost to be on stage at Eurovision for a small nation?
