Whigfield takes part in the Danish preselection for Eurovision 2018

Whigfield will take part in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2018 with the song ‘Boys and Girls’. The famous Eurodance-singer has been confirmed to be one of the ten finalists for the upcoming show on the 10th of February to pick the song that will represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.

Sannie Charlotte Carlson, which is the real name of Whigfield, was born in Denmark and raised in Italy. She scored a huge hit in the 90’s with the song “Saturday Night”. Since then, she never left the music industry and kept on making hits such as “Think Of You” and “Another Day“.

Monster hits like in the 90’s that never happened again. However, perhaps that will change if she goes to Eurovision…

The ten acts in Denmark for Eurovision 2018

There are nine other acts that will battle for a ticket to Lisbon and to be the successor of Australian Anja Nissen, who sang for Denmark in Kiev.

Among the ten acts is also Ditte Marie. She last participated in DMGP in 2012, singing “Overflow”, which did not reach the superfinal. Ditte was also part of Le Freak in 2011. She reached the last 4 on this occassion, losing out to eventual winners A Friend In London.
